Mythoscope

Privacy Policy

Effective March 24, 2026

What We Collect

When you sign up for the Mythoscope beta, we collect the information you provide: your first name, email address, how you heard about us, and — if you choose to share them — three cultural loves and three cultural hates.

How We Use It

Your email is used solely to contact you about the Mythoscope beta program — to let you know when your access is ready, and to send occasional updates about the project. Your cultural loves and hates, if provided, may be used to seed your Mythoscope reading when you join the beta. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the Mythoscope experience.

Who Sees It

Your information is stored in our private project management system (Notion) and is accessible only to the Mythoscope founding team — currently Jace Mercer and Peter Boris. We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal information to third parties.

Data Storage and Security

Your signup data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and stored in Notion's infrastructure, which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. We do not store passwords because the beta signup does not require an account.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing jace@jacemercer.com. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have rights under CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to request its deletion.

Cookies

The Mythoscope beta signup page does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. We don't track your browsing behavior.

Children

The Mythoscope is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without notice.
